About
Shaundelle
Shaundelle Brooks is a mother, community advocate, and Tennessee State Representative who leads with courage, integrity, and lived experience.
Her path to public service was not political—it was personal.
After losing her son, Akilah, to gun violence, Shaundelle faced a moment that no parent should ever endure. In the midst of unimaginable loss, she made a decision: her story would not end in tragedy—it would fuel change.
She chose to step forward.
That decision led her into public service, where she has worked to protect families, strengthen communities, and advance policies focused on prevention, accountability, and real solutions.
Shaundelle has brought that same commitment into her role as State Representative—elevating mental health as a public safety priority, advocating for working families, and ensuring that leadership remains accountable to the people it serves.
She is not a career politician. She is a public servant who believes leadership means showing up, listening, and delivering results.
Today, she continues that work—fighting for safer communities, stronger families, and a future where no one is left behind.
